Common problems
Chrome blocks every extension from running on browser pages. That includes chrome:// URLs, the Chrome Web Store, and other extensions' pages. Open a normal website and try again. For local files you also need to enable "Allow access to file URLs" for the extension in chrome://extensions.
The page either loads its CSS from another domain that blocks reading, or generates styles at runtime with a CSS-in-JS library. Switch the panel to Computed and you will still get usable values, with browser defaults filtered out.
Open the extension popup and sign in with your account email and password. The saved token lasts 30 days, so if you have not used the extension in a while you may simply need to sign in again.
Your free trial has finished or a payment did not go through. Open Billing in your dashboard to start or fix a subscription. Snippets you already saved are never deleted, and you keep read access to them.
Each subscription covers two active browsers. Open your dashboard, find the browser you no longer use under Browser activations, and deactivate it. The slot frees up immediately.
Drag it by its title bar to anywhere on screen. Press Escape once to unlock the current selection, or press Escape again, or click the x, to turn the inspector off entirely.
A few sites block clipboard access from extensions. Use Save snippet instead, then copy the CSS from your snippet library on the dashboard, which is never blocked.
Open the extension options and turn off "Include HTML". From then on only the selector and CSS are sent when you save a snippet.
Open Billing in your dashboard and cancel there. Your subscription runs to the end of the period you have paid for. You can export your whole library as JSON from the snippet library page at any time, before or after cancelling.
Getting started
1. Install and sign in
Add the extension, click its icon, and sign in with the account you created on this site.
2. Inspect a page
Click Inspect this tab, hover to preview, then click an element to lock it so the selection stops following your cursor.
3. Copy or save
Pick your output format, then Copy for one off use or Save snippet to keep it in your library.
